Fun Things to Do in Marion, IN
Many residents of Colonial Oaks have come from Marion, so they appreciate all the area has to offer. Here are a few things residents enjoy.
Matter Park is a favorite destination. Marion’s oldest and largest park, it’s located on the banks of the Mississinewa River. Visitors enjoy over 101 acres with baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, volleyball courts, and a disc golf course. There are picnic areas, shelters, restrooms, a fishing pond, and a nature trail. But the biggest attraction to Matter Park is the Gardens of Matter Park, with its meadow and butterfly garden.
Take a stroll and explore the Mississinewa Riverwalk. Grandkids visiting? Take them to the Splash House. With lazy rivers, racer slides, wave pool and more, it’s the perfect place for everyone to cool down and have fun.
Golfers can play a round at Walnut Creek Golf Course, voted Indiana Course of the Year in 2011.
With Indiana Wesleyan University just up the street, residents can enjoy all the campus has to offer, from cultural to sporting events.
